I’m running for re-election to continue city council’s positive direction and finish what we’ve started.

Faced with a long-divided community, we’ve created a new atmosphere of greater inclusiveness where all voices can be heard and respected.

Working together with many Menlo Park residents and businesses, we’ve made essential progress on a vision for the future of downtown Santa Cruz Avenue and El Camino Real.

We’re creating a “Green Alley” of electric car dealerships (including newly-opened Tesla Motors) to replace old “Auto Row.” Lively Downtown Block Parties build community and spotlight local merchants.

Now fully staffed, Police boasts a new motorcycle team to expand traffic enforcement for safer neighborhoods.

City improvements — roads, sidewalks, bikeways, recreation facilities, and street trees — are now higher priorities. City finances are sound, with a new level of transparency.

To address climate change, I convened the volunteer Green Ribbon Citizens’ Committee that’s fostering cost-effective actions by individuals, community organizations, and city council.

You elected me to open up government, revitalize business districts, protect neighborhoods, and preserve Menlo Park’s quality of life. I humbly ask for your vote to continue this work.
